| Well yesterday i got the new RAM and HD i ordered.
HD http://www.webhallen.com/prod.php?id=94707
RAM http://www.webhallen.com/prod.php?id=56921 Pages are in swedish but w/e, you'll see what kind of stuff it is ^^
The problem is that after putting in the new RAM, the comp won't boot.
It starts doing the startup sounds and won't stop, then reboots and does the same thing over and over.
I looked at the settings in the BIOS and it all looks like it should.
It fails to boot using ONLY the new sticks too.
So i had 2GB at start and i added 2GB more, both the old and the new RAM runs at 5-5-5-18 and at 800MHz so i have no idea what the problem could be.
GPU : 8800GT PSU : 500W (don't know anything else about it T_T )
update : got it running at 3GB RAM. If i add the 4th stick, it'll see the RAM at BIOS, but it won't get past that part.

| You might have broken RAM sticks. Happend to me before in the past. Had to go and get other ones from the store. Are they the same brand ? In the past you had to have excaly same sticks but that was like eons ago and only on certian motherboards so i dont think its the case here. You could have bad slots for the RAM on your motherboard, check if all of them work on old ram sticks. Would help if you could give sound file of the beep thingie or atleast try to recreate the order and lenght | |

| Updated first post. And actually it doesn't beep :S
It just freezes at "Testing Memory (or w/e) 4xxxxxxxx" and then just freezes.
So it DOES FIND the stick but it won't boot the comp :/

| Naa, i already checked alot of posts on other forums.
It happened to them too, fails to boot when adding 4GB even with 64bit OS.
you can have 4GB RAM in 32bit but the OS can't see/use it
I'll add that when i try to use the new RAMs (Corsair).
I removed the previous 2GB and added the new 2GB Corsair RAM, and it's the same thing as when adding 4GB.
It sees the RAM then freezes.

| Yeah but i think he means before he starts windows, in the bios part just at the begining. So Saii explain exacly when it happends. When windows loads or in bios ram test ? Can you even see bios test screen ? | |

| BIOS ram test screen. But i think i found the problem. I tried the other stick and it DOES find it and says there's 3GB RAM and then the computer reboots. So it probably has something to do with the stick >.< Thanks for trying to help though | |

| Corsair have had quite some trouble with those 4gig rams for some reason.
If it happens again your best bet is going back to where you bought them and test them there. I have a habit of testing hardware before i buy it.

| haha, i am actually using that build atm and i think if you vista already installed the drivers, it should automatically detect it on 7, thats how mine works, normally you have to manually set it up, but for build 7100 i just installed and didnt have to set up anything, just like plug and play sigh*

| Yea, i could connect to my other router just fine.
It's just that this new router probably blocks unknown operating systems T_T

| Yea, vista is crap. But think of it like this: Windows 7 is a faster and more reliable version of vista. It is actually reported to be Kernel 6.1 (while vista is 6.0) Faster version of Vista is indeed needed <3 Yes, you can use Movie Maker. Download 2.6 and then youtube on how to save in HD format. I had trouble with that too but ofc i found a solution | |

| yeah, its definitely faster than vista, just like vista's older brother.
On movie maker its always so bad quality when i pasted the video, when i am about to save it, i tried to increase the size, so hoping video would be much better and it was. But still it is bad ^^ About the HD i will look on it later, thanks.
